The Fitzgerald Biosphere Group is proud to announce the ‘Dirt to Dollars’ fund.

This fund will provide financial assistance to community groups within the Great Southern region, who are undertaking projects that aim to promote the growth, vitality, sustainability and resilience of the community.

Funds will be distributed from proceeds generated from Dancing in the Dirt Gala Ball, held on the 23rd March, 2024.

Application Criteria:

·        Located within the Great Southern of WA

·        Project activity must be between 1st June 2024 – 30th June 2025

·        Contributes to the growth, vitality, sustainability and/or resilience of regional communities

·        Aligns with the values of the Fitzgerald Biosphere Group; Sustainable agriculture, Healthy Ecosystems, Vibrant Enterprises & Community

 Who Can apply:

·       Any volunteer, recreational, sporting, incorporated body or any other not-for-profit community group within the Great Southern of WA.

 Please do not apply if:

·       If your project could be deemed to be the responsibility of a level of government (local, state or federal)

·       Individuals, public or private businesses may not apply

·       Government / Shire capital or maintenance costs of Shire / Government owned assets

·       Your project is for a recurring cost or unsustainable project

·       Your project is part of a Religious group or purpose

·       Your project is part of a Political group or purpose

·       Your group is not directly involved with your local community

Applications will open 1st May 2024 and will close on the 31st December 2024

Maximum funding limit is $1,000.

 All applications will be assessed by a panel. Successful applicants will be required to submit an invoice and complete an acquittal prior to receiving payment.
