OUR SERVICE AREA

The Shire of Jerramungup is situated in the western section of the Fitzgerald Biosphere Reserve within the Great Southern area of Western Australia. It covers an area of 654 000 hectares, of which 263 000 hectares is conservation estate and crown land. The variation in climate, soil types, land capabilities and other environmental factors from north to south and east to west is very high, consequently there is wide range of farming systems in operation throughout the area. The main broad-acre agricultural products from the region are wheat, barley, canola, sheep for wool and meat production and beef cattle.
